Looking for interesting and unique clothes that will set you apart from the crowd this season? Then look east and snap up some oriental-inspired attire.
The look was favoured by a host of designers on their Spring/Summer 11 catwalks including John Galliano and Haider Ackermann. Models strutted down the runway in a range of extravagant pieces which boasted an array of delicious colours and luxurious fabrics.
In order to rock this elegant yet edgy trend opt for modern cuts with an Asian-inspired theme including sophisticated and understated kimonos, intricate floral prints such as oriental blossoms and exotic sarongs.
Because of its outstanding look, this trend can be quite tricky to recreate during the day, so try just adding subtle hints of it to your overall look.
The oriental trend works wonders for a glamorous night-time or special event however. The bright patterns and kimono-inspired sleeves bring an exotic and sensual silhouette to any outfit that screams glamour and opulence.
As for accessories, oriental clothing will look best with a cute clutch and glam platform shoes. Avoid wearing too much jewellery as the eclectic Asian prints make a bold statement on their own.
This trend is a way to really accentuate your waist. Use a wide belt to clinch in your torso and create the illusion of a pin-up beauty.
