Olympics: what to watch August 6

On Monday, the Olympic Stadium heats up with track and field gold medal events, including women's shot put and pole vault, men's 400m hurdles, and men's 400m. In addition, men aim for gold medal glory in archery, and there are final events in rowing and judo. Here are a few other highlights to keep an eye on.

Sailing
Women's laser radial: 1pm

Athletes attempt to master the ever-changing conditions of open water in two gold medal matches on Monday: the women's laser radial and men's laser. All ten Olympic sailing events take place on the scenic waters of Weymouth Bay Portland Harbour, on the south coast of England.


Men's handball: preliminaries begin at 9:30am
The world's greatest handball teams flaunt their speed and power on Monday at Copper Box. You can watch preliminary rounds with Beijing's gold medalists France, as well as 2008 silver medal winners Iceland and bronze medalists Spain.


Men's diving:
3m springboard, preliminaries begin at 5pm
Acrobatic divers aim for the perfect 10 in early rounds of men's 3m springboard, beginning on Monday at the Aquatics Centre. One to watch is Beijing gold medalist He Chong from China.
