Nora to make peace with Vera Perez family?

It's entertainment history and a well-known fact that Nora Aunor's original studio was Sampaguita Pictures, and it was the late star-builder Dr. Jose "Pinggot" Perez who gave her the break and made her a superstar.

But later, Nora also made movies under other production outfits, like Tower Productions of the late director Artemio Marquez. Somewhere along the way towards superstardom, Nora and Sampaguita Pictures had a falling out.

Today, many scandals and controversies after, now that she's making a comeback after eight years of absence in the local entertainment scene, Nora has sent feelers to the Vera Perez family that she wants to visit them and make peace, especially with Sampaguita matriarch Nene Vera Perez, who is now 94.

But a reliable source says the Vera Perez family, owner of Sampaguita Pictures, is not keen on the idea -- for now.

Meanwhile, Nora continues to hog the headlines, especially with her comeback movie "El Presidente" with Laguna Governor ER Ejercito, and her TV5 television project "Sa Ngalan ng Ina," which starts airing October 3.

In the mini-serye, the first of its kind for TV5, Nora reunites with former co-star and ex-husband Christopher de Leon, Bembol Roco and director Mario O'Hara who directed her in the award-winning movie "Tatlong Taong Walang Diyos."

Also in the cast of "Sa Ngalan ng Ina" is Nora and Christopher's son Ian who said during the red carpet premiere of the miniserye that he is challenged with the fact that he is working with his famous parents.
