Nora Aunor is reportedly set to make her comeback to the Philippines this week after eight long years in the United States.
According to a report on ABS-CBN's “TV Patrol,” Nora already held a “despedida” party with family and friends in Glendale, California as she prepares for her return to the Philippines. Nora is speculated to return on July 21, while close friend German Moreno said she will arrive first week of August.
Nora will do a historical film based on Emilio Aguinaldo’s story, where she will portray the wife of the first Philippine president and act alongside Laguna Governor ER Ejercito. However, Nora said the movie project is not the sole reason why she’s returning to the country.
Unexpected movie offer
Nora also did not expect a movie offer since she has been away from the limelight and has been staying in the US for many years.
Her manager Cecile Ramos says Nora needs undergo medical care to restore her voice. Her voice was reportedly affected after she underwent cosmetic surgery in Japan.
Now that she is making her comeback, Nora expressed her gratitude to friends and fans who have supported her ever since. She feels great that she is coming home.
