No awkwardness between Carmina and Rommel Padilla

This is what Carmina Villaroel said about working with Rommel Padilla, the brother of her ex-husband Rustom Padilla (now BB Gandanghari), proving that there's no bad blood between her and his family.

Carmina co-stars with Rommel in ABS-CBN's upcoming primetime drama, "Lorenzo's Time" with Kapamilya child wonder Zaijian Jaranilla.

"Kasi wala naman kaming samaan ng loob. Wala talaga,” Carmina explained during the press conference for "Lorenzo's Time" held at the ABS-CBN compound on Thursday, June 21.

Joking about Rustom's 'death'

Rommel, who was also at the press conference, even joked with Carmina when asked about their working relationship to dispel questions that both were in an awkward situation.

He said, "Masayang-masaya ako [to work with Carmina]. Kinabahan ako noong first day pero kasi first time kitang makita ulit, pagkatapos ‘mamatay’ ni Rustom. Sabihin ko sana, ‘Bakit hindi ka nakipaglibing?’"

To which Carmina replied in jest, "Sabihin ko sana, bakit hindi niyo man lang ako inimbita? Eh hindi rin pala kayo nakapunta!"

No bitterness over failed marriage

Despite her failed marriage, Carmina harbors no ill-feeling toward Rustom, who is now transgendered.

Lahat magaan, lahat masaya, I’m so blessed tapos ganun pa maging reaction ko.

"Lorenzo's Time," which premieres on July 2, is Carmina's first teleserye since she returned to ABS-CBN.

"Sobrang excited ako talaga, looking forward talaga ako," Carmina said.
