Nicole Richie has lax guidelines for maternity wear.
The House of Harlow 1960 creative director does not feel that pregnant women should restrict their style choices.
Nicole is a fan of mothers-to-be wearing what they feel most relaxed in.
“I would say to just wear what you are comfortable in and there are no rules. It really just depends on how you feel,” Nicole told OK! magazine. “With my daughter, I was wearing five-inch heels until I gave birth to her and with my son, I wasn’t.”
Nicole believes that expressing individual style is a confidence booster for expectant mothers. The stunning star urges pregnant women to embrace their ever-changing figures.
“Go with what you are comfortable in and go with what makes you feel good about yourself,” Nicole added.
Nicole and Jessica Simpson are mentors on new reality TV series Fashion Star. The fashionistas have become great friends and Nicole is excited about Jessica’s entry into motherhood.
Although she is happy to provide fashion advice, Nicole won’t offer Jessica parenting tips.
“[Jessica] doesn’t need my advice,” Nicole gushed. “[She’s going to be] a great mom.”
Fashion Star will air in America this spring.
