Korean idol girl group member Suzy of Miss A was recently chosen in a poll by netizens as the most suitable to star as the female lead of animation film 'Anne of Green Gables'.
Animation film 'Annie of Green Gables' recently conducted a poll through Korean portal site NATE, asking netizens, "Who do you think is the ideal female lead if there was a live action film version of 'Anne of Green Gables'."
The results of the poll showed that Suzy topped the field with an overwhelming 48% of all votes, showing her influence as the 'Nation's First Love'. Her adorable and bubbly personality is similar to that of Anne in the animation, Suzy can definitely do justice to the role as the Korean version. The reason for Suzy topping the poll is probably because of her innocent image in her film 'Architecture 101' and her youthful bubbly nature showed in variety shows. A Pink's Jung Eun Ji came in 2nd, while IU, Girls' Generation Seohyun, and T-ARA's Eunjung rounded up the top 5.
'Anne of Green Gables' is about a little girl with freckles, and braided red hair called Anne and a series of touching stories that ensue following her arrival at the village of Green Gables. The animation film will air on January 20th next year in South Korea.
