Nadine Samonte: Ayoko nang mag-invest sa maling tao
Kapatid actress Nadine Samonte came out of a long-term relationship last year. So it’s no surprise that the “Kidlat” star is now more cautious when it comes to love.
“I’ve been in a seven year relationship, e. Mas careful na siguro ako ngayon,” she told Yahoo! Philippines OMG! in an interview.

The relationship in question was with businessman Emerson Chua, whom she broke up with September of last year. Now, she’s being linked to co-star Derek Ramsay.

Her current stance when it comes to love and relationships doesn’t necessarily mean she’s afraid to be hurt again; Nadine simply wants to take her time.
“Family na nga ang gusto ko, e,” she explained.

Before her break-up with Chua, Nadine admitted she was already thinking of settling down with him. She even wants to have kids at a young age.
No more games
What has the 24-year-old actress learned from her past relationship?
“Lahat ng bagay, kailangan planuhin mo. Kailangan isipin mo. Hindi lang basta-basta ngayon,” she said.
Nadine added: “Ayoko na nang playing games. Ayoko na nang wala kang gusto sa buhay mo. Ayoko na nang ganung klaseng lalaki.”
She added, “Ayoko na nung magiging kayo, tapos mag-aaway kayo, tapos maghihiwalay kayo. Hanap ka na ng ibang boyfriend. Ayoko na nang ganun, nakakapagod na.”
Nadine is open to dating, of course. But she wants to get to know the guy first before getting serious with him. “Gusto ko mas matagal kong makilala. Para talagang masiguro kong totoo talaga.”
“Kasi yung mga guys, madali naman nilang sabihin na, 'Seryoso na ako, seryoso na.' Pero come to think of it, the way they talk, yung mga actions nila, hindi pa. Makikita mo yun dun.”
And as for her much-buzzed friendship with Derek, Nadine has this to say.
“Siguro lang hindi ako nagmamadali. Gusto ko kasi sure na. Ayoko nang masaktan ako ng sobra. Hindi mo naman maiiwasan na masaktan sa relationship. Pero ayoko nang mag-invest sa maling tao.”
Looking as gorgeous as ever, with a successful show to boot, Nadine describes her life as “mas magaan.”
“Happy ako sa life ko ngayon,” she said.
