Is Sam Milby the third party behind the Maja Salvador-Matteo Guidicelli break-up? Her answer is a resounding no.
“Nagugulat ako. Hindi ko alam kung bakit nadadawit yung pangalan ni Sam. Parang after nung break-up namin, doon nasasali yung pangalan ni Sam. So, parang nakakahiya, kasi bakit siya nadadamay? Never naging issue sa amin ni Matteo yung kay Sam kasi wala talaga,” Maja told Yahoo! Philippines OMG and some members of the press at the pictorial of her upcoming teleserye “Ina, Kapatid, Anak” in ABS-CBN compound on Friday, September 6.
Maja shared that some people assumed she is dating Sam because they were seen together at Sarah Geronimo’s concert at the Big Dome last August. Maja revealed that she was supposed to watch the show with John Lloyd Cruz and another companion, but the two failed to show up due to their busy schedules.
Since Maja and Sam came from an event, they decided to watch the concert together with other people.
“Naisip na namin yun. Hindi pa nga alam ng mga tao na wala na kami ni Matteo noon, kaya siguro iyon yung sinasabi na third party. Hindi ko naman masasabi na mali na nagsama kami sa Sarah concert kasi wala naman. Sasabihin kong mali kung meron kaming something, pero wala talaga,” she added.
Maja revealed she’s living a pretty “balanced” life these days and is focused on her new TV drama.
A month after they broke up, Maja and Matteo remain friends.
Acting recognitions
Maja is happy with the blessings she has been getting, including Best Actress recognitions from the Gawad Urian and Luna Awards for the movie “Thelma.
Despite the awards, Maja said she is not picky when it comes to projects. “Hindi naman po choosy. Sana yung tatanggapin ko yung hindi ko awkward gagawin or yung hindi maganda para sa akin, hindi pilit. Basta yung alam kong kakayanin ko yung character na binigay sa akin.”
Maja is paired with Enchong Dee for the first time in “Ina, Kapatid, Anak,” where she co-stars with Kim Chiu and Xian Lim.
“Yung character ko dito si Margaux. (Tulad) siya ng sapatos na makinang, mamahalin, pero hindi nagagamit. Nasa loob lang siya ng kahon. Kasi,’ di ba, yung kuwento namin, sinasabi, ang sapatos ang nagsasabi kung ano yung personalidad ng mga tao,” Maja said.
