Lee Dong Wook and Song Ji Hyo will be returning to the small screen with their new drama ‘Heaven’s Order’.
Related television station personnel divulged on February 18th that Lee Dong Wook and Song Ji Hyo were currently in discussions to star in KBS 2TV Wed-Thu drama ‘Heaven’s Order’, and that discussions were in the final confirmation stages.
‘Heaven’s Order’ is about an oriental doctor named Choi Won (Lee Dong Wook), who works for the royal family and works desperately to save King In Jong’s daughter who is suffering from an incurable disease. But Choi Won finds himself implicated in a plot to poison King In Jong and becomes a fugitive. Song Ji Hyo plays the role of a royal nurse named Hong Da In who has a cold personality but falls in love with Choi Won.
This will be Lee Dong Wook’s comeback piece after his ‘Wild Romance’ drama last February and ending his one year hiatus. Song Ji Hyo will also be making her small screen return after more than a year of hiatus since her last drama ‘Gaebaek’.
The script for ‘Heaven’s Order’ will be done by Choi Min Ki who previously wrote ‘The Birth of the Rich’; directing the drama will be Lee Jin Seo whose previous works include ‘The Birth of the Rich’ and ‘Baby-Faced Beauty’. The confirmed cast list will be revealed soon, with the script recital session to follow soon after. The drama will succeed ‘IRIS 2’ and begin airing this April.
