Women’s fashion magazine “Marie Claire” will be celebrating its 20th anniversary since its release, and hence will publish a special section titled “Actresses’ Edition”. Lee Da Hae is one of the featured actresses for “Marie Claire” and she will be showing off a kind of style and flair that is both fashionable and unique with her new short bob style haircut. The daring yet stylish hairdo has won more than a handful of praise for the actress not only from the shooting crew but also from her fans.
Lee Da Hae takes a 180 degrees turn from her usual feminine look in photo shoots, and appears in front of the camera with her hair cropped short into a bob, which has never been seen before yet exudes a magnetic neutral style. In response to her shoot, the photography crew members replied, “Her (Lee Da Hye’s) figure is smooth and curved like water, able to express many forms and poses, which is pleasantly surprising. At the same time, the female look seems half hidden under Lee Da Hae’s short hair, yet is expressed subtly through her expressions.”
Famous photography Jo Song Hye was the photographer for Lee Da Hae’s unique looking pictures; he has also worked with “Marie Claire” on several occasions for model photo shoots. Jo Song Hye worked his shades of black and white nicely in Lee Da Hae’s shoot to bring out a sense of toughness and simplicity about her character; and with the transformation of the actress’s new haircut, there seems to be an extra tinge of surprise and attraction about the pictures.
The full series of pictures featuring Lee Da Hae’s new neutral look will be officially published in the March issue of “Marie Claire”.
In addition, Lee Da Hae is featured in KBS 2TV’s popular drama series “Iris 2” which is currently airing on the channel. In it, she plays the character of Ji Soo Yeon, who is a champion shooter. Lee Da Hae went through a complete transformation as per her role in the drama, throwing away her bright, young girlish image for a more tough and determined female warrior look.
Lee Da Hae’s managing agency Forestar Entertainment revealed that 3 months prior the commencement of the shooting for “Iris 2”, Lee Da Hae underwent 5 to 6 hours of intensive training every day; and she did so throughout the whole program without a word of complaint or a hint of weariness, which paid off for her character in the drama series. With the opening of the series, Lee Da Hae’s true image is also coming to light and shining for viewers.
