Lady Gaga is to release songs from her new album on FarmVille.
The eccentric singer is releasing her highly anticipated album Born This Way later this month, but will let fans listen to tracks on a section of the online game before they are released anywhere else.
Lady Gaga and Zynga, a social network game developer, will reveal GagaVille, a Gaga-inspired section within FarmVille, which will showcase themes from the songstress’ new album such as crystals, unicorns and leather-clad sheep riding motorcycles.
From May 17 to 19, players can complete tasks in order to hear an exclusive song each day.
“I want to celebrate and share Born This Way with my little monsters in a special way that’s never been done before,” the 25-year-old singer said in a press release. “Zynga has created a magical place in FarmVille where my fans can come play and be the first to listen to the album.”
Zynga’s director of entertainment and media has revealed the Gaga-inspired game is a match made in heaven. Raquel DiSabatino says it is the perfect way for Lady Gaga to interact with her beloved fans.
"Lady Gaga is as passionate about her fans as we are about our players," said Raquel. "This really was a great meeting of the minds to create an innovative and playful experience for those folks."
The album Born This Way will be released on May 23.
