Kristine shows baby bump for first time

Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto (Marlo Cueto, NPPA Images)Only few months away before she delivers her first baby, Kristine Hermosa looked stunning as ever with her baby bump barely showing when she attended the Star Magic Ball with her husband, Oyo Sotto, at the Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati City last Saturday, September 3.

Showing her baby bump for the first time in public, Kristine’s attendance surprised the press and the onlookers. Wearing a flesh-colored gown by Francis Libiran, Kristine is happy to attend the event after being away from the limelight for a few months.

“Yes, I'm okay and I'm happy,” Kristine said as she expressed how blessed she is having her growing family. Asked if she has certain cravings, Kristine said that she just always wants to see Oyo.

“Masarap yung feeling. Siyempre very thankful naman kami kay God. Alam naman natin na answered prayer din talaga,” Kristine said.

Since Kristine currently doesn’t have any showbiz projects due to her pregnancy, she shared that she has more time to do what she wants to do and often goes to the gym. The blooming mother-to-be also bragged that her husband Oyo takes care of her a lot.

"Maalaga naman sya kahit hindi ako buntis," Kristine said.

Changes in relationship

Since it’s just less than a year since they got married, what have been the changes in their relationship?

“Syempre mas naging intimate kayo. Talagang mas klarong-klaro na, ‘Wow, husband and wife na kami talaga.’ Ganun rin naman kami nung simula nung wedding, pero syempre nagbabago kapag may panibagong member ng family,” Kristine said.

As both of them are really praying for their first born, Oyo said that he could not believe it at first. He also shared that she’s excited to know the gender of the baby.

"Hindi ako makapaniwala nung una, Kahit hanggang ngayon kasi, kapag tinitingnan ko, parang medyo maliit pa siguro. Siguro, kapag nagpa-ultrasound si Tin at malaman na yung gender, mas mafifeel ko na,” Oyo said.

The young couple also agreed that they both want to have a baby girl if their prayer will be answered. They don’t have a name yet for the baby as they want to know the baby’s gender first.

Wish for a baby girl

“Actually, ang pinagpi-pray namin ni Tin na sana girl nga," Oyo said.

Being a first time father, Oyo said that he has mixed feelings. He also couldn’t say if he’s totally prepared as the baby has not come out yet.

"Sa akin kasi, you're not ready till you're there na. Hanggang sa wala pa, hindi ko talaga masasabi. Halu-halo yung emotions ko, happy, kinakabahan at takot,” Oyo said.

Being a TV drama princess, Kristine shared that she also wants to go back eventually to acting but will focus on her baby first. It’s been a long time since Kristine’s last TV drama in ABS-CBN.

“Siyempre, kelangan ko munang tutukan yung baby. Pero pwede rin naman akong mag once in a while na guestings or pag may mga shows na magaan lang ang schedule. Namimiss ko rin naman talaga kasi ginagawa ko yun for so many years,” Kristine told the press.

Oyo also doesn’t see any problem with Kristine going back to acting as long as she knows her priorities and limitations.

“Oo naman. Wala naman yun problema sa akin. I know how much she loves acting and working so ayoko tanggalin sa kanya yun,” Oyo said.
