Kristen Stewart reportedly cancelled a party appearance as she was so nervous about seeing Liberty Ross.
The actress became embroiled in a scandal last year when she admitted having an affair with film director Rupert Sanders, who was married to Liberty at the time. The model has since filed for divorce.
Kristen was due to attend a glitzy bash in Los Angeles late last month, but apparently decided against going when she heard brunette Liberty would also be attending.
“Kristen couldn’t face it,” a source explained to Heat magazine.
The incident came after the Academy Awards, which Kristen had to attend on crutches after cutting her foot. She was said to be mortified that she had to hobble down the red carpet, as she had hoped to wow the other guests with a glamorous appearance.
The star was said to be doubly upset as her relationship with her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson is still strained. They split after her infidelity was confirmed, but then got back together.
It’s thought they are now taking another break from each other while he shoots his new movie in Australia. Robert was due to watch the Oscars on television though and knew Kristen would be attending, so she was surprised not to hear from him before the ceremony.
“Rob didn’t even call to wish her luck,” the source said. “Kristen was gutted.”
