Kris Lawrence: ‘Let’s just move forward’
Kris Lawrence said girlfriend Katrina Halili is doing well even if the justice system didn't rule in their favor recently.
The Court of Appeals junked the actress' appeal to overturn a lower court decision dismissing a criminal case she filed against Hayden Kho.
“She took it well. You win some, you lose some. But we live to fight another day,” he said during the press conference for Hero (Help Educate and Rear Orphans).
The Kapuso talent added, “Wala naman akong comment dun. What’s in the past is in the past. We have a new chapter in our lives. So let’s just move forward.”
And the two have every reason to move forward. According to Kris, Katrina is about to give birth any time soon.
“Masaya po. Sobrang saya,” he said when asked how Katrina is doing, adding that everything—from what they’ll bring to the hospital to the baby’s room—has already been taken care of.
Katrina, Kris said, is “more excited, she’s not nervous” for the baby’s birth.
But is he nervous? “No. Kinakabahan in a nice way. More of an excited feeling.”
As for Katrina’s showbiz career, Kris said the Kapuso actress will probably take a two to three month leave from work. “Para bumalik yung dating katawan,” he quipped.
“Tapos January, go na siya (for work),” Kris added.
