Kris Humphries' lawyer reportedly sacked the star as his client as he believes there are "no grounds" for annulling his marriage to Kim Kardashian.
It was recently revealed that Marshall Waller parted ways from Kris after citing an “irremediable breakdown of the attorney-client relationship”, in documents obtained by TMZ.
After reports of the pair butting heads over ways to proceed with Kris' high-profile divorce for quite some time, the US website has now revealed that Marshall "made it clear to his client... there are no legal grounds for annulling his marriage to Kim, because there's absolutely no evidence of fraud."
The source added to TMZ that Marshall was further put off the case after Kris' out-of-state lawyer Lee Hutton "won't budge from the whole annulment thing".
Kim and Kris' lawyers are in court this morning, with Kim's lawyer Laura Wasser reportedly set on demanding a trial date as early as next month.
Reality TV beauty Kim famously married basketball player Kris in a lavish wedding in August 2011, which was televised. However, the 32-year-old reality star filed for divorce just 72 days later after realising the union couldn’t last.
Despite splitting in October 2011, Kim and Kris have been battling over the terms of their divorce.
Kris is accusing Kim of fraud and using their wedding for publicity, but despite their bitter court battle, the brunette is hoping they can come to a settlement soon.
"It's a really expensive dream that won't leave me alone," Kim revealed in a scene from the new season of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami. "I'm annoyed about it, but I've taken it to a level where I'm like, I can't stress about this. The judge says we will be divorced in 2013."
Kim is currently expecting her first child with her rap superstar beau Kanye West.
