Kim Hyun Joong is Action-Friendly in the Mud for ‘City Conquest’

Going for a dirtier, more masculine image, Kim Hyun Joong struggled in mud for his scenes in the upcoming drama City Conquest.

A recently released still showed the singer-turned-actor, wrestling with an unidentified man, rolling around on a muddy ground. Kim Hyun Joong is said to have focused only on his acting and did not mind getting rowdy and dirty in the mud.

For this role, Kim Hyun Joong has been taking care of his body, lowering his body fat to 7 percent and practicing for his scenes in action schools. He will be playing the character of Baek Mir.

The drama is directed by Yang Yoon Ho, who also directed Iris. The action-packed drama has not yet settled on a broadcast date.
