Keira Knightley has reportedly told pals that she is “sick” of dating actors.
The British star apparently decided to stay clear of striking up romances with thespian types and wanted to find a man with “more edge”.
Keira’s five-year romance with Pride & Prejudice star Rupert Friend fizzled out in December 2010 and she is now dating Klaxons keyboardist James Righton.
“She was sick of actors and wanted a guy with a little more edge,” the source told Us Weekly.
“Keira likes his dark, artistic side. Not so much ‘angry rocker’; it’s more that he just doesn’t give a damn.”
The romance appears to be going from strength to strength.
James has been teaching Keira how to play a variety of musical instruments and they have been spending their free time attending low-profile gigs in London.
“They can’t keep their hands off each other.”
The pair are believed to have been introduced by their mutual friend, presenter Alexa Chung, last year.
