Callalily frontman Kean Cipriano insists he is still single, despite rumors linking him to fashion stylist Liz Uy.
“Steady lang talaga kasi muna ako muna ngayon e,” the 24-year-old singer-actor told the media at the press conference for his “One Stage, One Night” concert yesterday.
So why is he being linked to Liz?
“Siguro kasi madalas kaming magkasama dahil nga lumalabas kami ni Vice (Ganda),” he said.
Is he attracted to the fashion editor? Kean said he doesn't want to think about the romantic possibilities because of their friendship.
“Ayokong isipin yung ganun dahil baka masira yung maganda naming pagkakaibigan ngayon. Kumbaga, ang ganda ng pagkakaibigan namin. Ang ganda ng kwentuhan namin. Ayokong sirain yug pag nilagyan ng kung anuman,” he said.
However, Kean did say he is a fan of Liz's work.
“Ako, fan ako ni Liz. Fan ako. Ang taas ng tingin ko sa kanya. Nirerespeto ko sya dun sa field nya,” he said.
Major concert
Although he has been in the music scene for more than five years now, “One Stage, One Night” is actually Kean's first major concert. Why did it take so long for the Callalily frontman to headline such a show?
“Maybe now's the right time. Saka siguro dahil year of the rabbit ako. It's my year,” he quipped.
This year has been Kean's year, indeed. Besides headlining a concert, the singer got his breakthrough as an actor via the comedy “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank.” He is also part of the film “Praybeyt Benjamin” starring Vice Ganda.
Still, Kean said music remains to be his greatest love.
Kean promised to give the concert a “different flavor.”
Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala, Jay Durias, Madeleine of Paraluman, and Callalily, among others, will be special guests.
“One Stage, One Night: BBS” featuring Kean Cipriano is set on November 26 at the Aliw Theater.
