If there's one thing Katherine Luna regrets, it is meeting Coco Martin.

Katherine, known for her independent films, bore a child with Coco six years ago. However, Katherine revealed that a month after giving birth to their daughter Coleen Beatrice, the Kapamilya actor allegedly walked out of their lives.

"Gusto ko pagsisihan pero wala na akong galit. Sana hindi na kami nagkakilala. Kaso lang kung hindi kami nagkakilala wala akong magandang anak ngayon," Katherine told entertainment reporters after the press conference of TV5's "Bangis" held at Annabel's restaurant in Tomas Morato Quezon City on Tuesday.

Forgiving Coco

"Time heals all wounds" they say, and Katherine said she has learned to forgive Coco for his "shortcomings" as a father to their child after all these years.

"Napatawad ko na siya. Masaya na ako," she kept on saying.

But when it comes to allowing her child to meet Coco, Katherine has one request.

"Wala namang problema basta walang kamerang nakaharap. Yun lang naman yun eh. Kasi unang-una six years old na yung anak ko. May isip na yun eh. Pag nasaktan yun una akong masasaktan," she said.

If ever Coco requests to have his name included in their child's birth certificate, Katherine has a few other requirements.

"Napatawad ko na siya, pero hangga't hindi ko pa nakikita from his heart na talagang concerned na siyang makita at tanggapin ang anak niya, hindi niya gagamitin, hindi niya gusto makita para sa showbiz sige oo, pero ngayon hindi," she added.

Lack of financial support

Aside from providing vitamins while being pregnant and a few cans of milk after giving birth, Katherine revealed that she allegedly received no other support from Coco.

Still, the returning actress made sure her child knows the truth about her father.

"Hindi ko pinagkakaait sa anak ko na makilala niya ang tatay niya. Nakikita niya sa TV. [Sinasabi niya]'Daddy ko yun oh,' relates Katherine.

Asked to comment about Coco's successful career, Katherine had this to say.

"Masaya naman ako nakatulong ako eh," she said.

After winning Best Actress for her first film "Ang Babae sa Breakwater," Katherine left showbiz in 2005 when she admitted through “The Buzz” that she was  pregnant.

She now has four children, and is returning to television as Magdalena  in the  primetime series adaptation of Carlo J. Caparas's "Bangis."
