After causing a ripple in the advertisement industry with news of Lee Hyori’s 5-year stint as Lotte’s Cheoeum Cheorum soju model coming to a close, news of her successors have begun emerging.
After both mutually agreeing a new image was needed for the brand, Lee Hyori and Cheoeum Cheorum soju agreed to part ways after five years of doing business together.
After careful deliberation, Lotte Chilsung Beverage revealed on November 13 it had chosen a trio of girl group members comprised of Kara’s Goo Hara, 4Minute’s Hyuna and SISTAR’s Hyolyn to serve as models.
The three were selected not only for their appeal but their lively and outgoing personalities which were deemed a good fit with the brand. The first commercial featuring the three girl group members has already been filmed.
Lotte Chilsung Beverage stressed however that its parting with Lee Hyori was done amicably and added Cheoeum Cheorum’s initial brand recognition and popularity was greatly attributed to Lee Hyori and her representation and would continue to give all respect to Lee Hyori before her contract expires.
