For Jodi Sta. Maria, a showbiz career, no matter how successful, is not forever.
The star of “Be Careful With My Heart” knows her current show may make her a familiar topic of conversation. Adding fuel to the fire is her rumored romance with Jolo Revilla and the impending political showdown between the Lacsons (where her ex-husband Pampi belongs) and the Revillas in Cavite next year.
“I’d rather not talk about it,” she begged over music blaring from the speaker of the newly-opened Rue Bourbon Bar and Restaurant at Citywalk 2, Eastwood City, Quezon City.
Jodi knows the talks will die down someday. And when it does, the single mother will be ready.
Jodi is taking care of her New Orleans-inspired business, hoping it could tide her and son Thirdy someday.

“It’s my fallback position,” she smiles in-between sips of red wine.
Jodi takes a breather from the showbiz grind and brings along some of her co-stars, like Papa Chen, to Rue Bourbon’s third branch (the others are in Global City and Makati).
“We want to offer the same kind of experience through great food, overflowing drinks and fantastic service,” Jodi Crows.
Joining Jodi in the business venture is fellow Kapamilya and friend, Kris Aquino.
“She featured the drinks in the place in a show and volunteered to invest in the business as one of the partners,” Jodi revealed.
The two stars have six other just-as-young partners in Rue Bourbon, which Jodi describes as “affordable for everybody.”
Her TV host-partner had taping that night, so Jodi said Kris can’t make it for the grand event.
