Life drastically changed for Jillian Michaels in May after she and partner Heidi Rhoades became the parents of a son, 4-month-old Phoenix, and adopted daughter Lukensia, 2, in the space of one week.

While a simultaneous double dose of baby bliss wasn't exactly planned, the superstar trainer says she's adjusting to her new role as a mother of two.

"There was a great line from a movie I saw the other day -- it was 'What To Expect [When You're Expecting'] and Chris Rock said, '[Parenting is] like jumping on a moving train and hoping you don't die.' And that's how I feel about it," Jillian, 38, told Access Hollywood of becoming a mom, before dissolving into a fit of laughter at the Stand Up To Cancer telethon in Los Angeles on Friday. "But I haven't died yet and I'm keeping it together!"

"I get a little better at it every day," she added. "I feel bad for my kids -- I'm like 'Sorry guys, we're doing the best we can!'"

In addition to raising her own two children, the fitness expert is returning to "The Biggest Loser" next season in an effort to help the country's children fight against the dangerous epidemic of childhood obesity - a cause close to Jillian's heart.

"I have two kids now [and] I was an overweight teen myself," she told Access of why she chose to return to the NBC reality weight loss show. "It's an area I've been working with... So when the show wanted to take it on, having an international television platform to go after the issue was a big deal and it was something that I couldn't really resist."

Jillian said she's confident the sensitive topic will be handled with care.

"I feel like the producers and the network have put a lot of thought into how to approach and how to go about it and I think we're going to be able to make a real positive impact," she said.
