Jed Madela, Aiza Seguerra lead 4th Star Awards for Music

Jed Madela is once again a big winner as he was proclaimed Male Recording Artist of the Year during the 4th PMPC Star Awards for Music held at the Meralco Theater in Pasig City on Sunday, September 10.
 
The Kapamilya artist won the award for his album “Breathe Again.” Madela also won the same award at last year’s Star Awards for Music.
 
Meanwhile, Aiza Seguerra won the Female Recording Artist of the Year award for her album “Songs from the Vault.”
 
Sponge Cola received recognitions for Album of the Year (for “Araw Oras Tagpuan”) and Male Rock Artist of the Year.  Christian Bautista received the Pop Album of the Year and the Male Pop Artist of the Year awards for his album “Outbound.”
 
The Female Rock Artist of the Year award went to Yeng Constantino (“Yeng Versions Live.”)
 
Last year’s New Female Recording Artist of the Year winner Angeline Quinto remains in the winner’s circle as she was proclaimed Female Pop Artist of the Year. Sarah Geronimo, last year’s Female Recording Artist of the Year, won the Female Concert Performer of the Year award.
 
Four artists were named as best newcomers this year. Solenn Heussaff and Paula Bianca were named New Female Recording Artist of the Year while Robin Nievera and DK Valdez were named New Male Recording Artist of the Year.

Revival Album of the Year: “Mga Awit at Damdamin,” Martin Nievera
Dance Album of the Year
: “18+ Restricted,” Mocha Girls
Rock Album of the Year: “Romantico,” Kamikazee
Acoustic Album of the Year: “Panaginip,” Noel Cabangon
Male Acoustic Artist of the Year: Noel Cabangon, (“Panaginip”)
Female Acoustic Artist of the Year: Juris (“Forevermore”)
Album Cover Design of the Year: “No Water, No Moon,” Bamboo
Compilation Album of the Year: “The Pearl Collection, 30 Years of the Most Memorable Theme Songs”
