James Yap still single; Bimby’s his inspiration

James Yap (Jerome Ascano, NPPA Images)After his separation from Kris Aquino, James Yap has been linked to Isabel Oli, Marie Digby, and Grace Lee. The cager insists, however, that he remains single and has no time for a new relationship, now that he wants to focus on his career first.

“Wala pa naman sa isip ko. Focus muna ako sa career ko, siyempre. And 'yun lang muna,” James said in an interview with “The Buzz” when he attended Mother Lily’s birthday celebration last Friday, August 19.

The women named in the rumors also denied speculations that they are dating James.

Isabel and Marie said in separate interviews that James is just a friend and that they go out as a group .

“Wala, mga kaibigan lang. Labas-labas lang,” James said.

Does he have an inspiration?

“Yes,” James quickly answered. “Anak ko, si Baby James.”

James added that his son by Kris has started asking tough questions, especially involving their family and love life.

“Mahirap din kasi si Baby James lumalaki na. Kumbaga, nakakaintindi na sya. So, medyo ingat lang. Mahirap rin kase minsan nagtatanong, mahirap sagutin pero kailangan talaga,” James explained.

Kris and James’ annulment has already been filed in court.

What does he think of the observation that Kris has already moved on? “Hindi ako nakikialam. No comment,” James gave a safe answer.

He added that he will tell the  press and other people who are always interested in his love life who his next special someone is the moment he finds her.

“Kaya nga pag sinasabi ko lagi na, let's say may nililigawan o may girlfriend, sasabihin ko para wala nang chismis-chismis pa,” James said.

Is he interested in becoming a Regal baby, like the rest of those who attended Mother Lily’s birthday party?

“Kailangan pa ng workshop,” he replied.

And what kind of movie is James most comfortable doing?

“Last Two Minutes,” he laughed, referring to the movie that starred fellow cagers Alvin Patrimonio, Jerry Codiñera and Bong Alvarez that Regal Films produced many years back.
