Jaclyn vows to keep her hands off Andi’s love life
Poking one’s nose into a grown-up’s love life is a no-no. This is the lesson Jaclyn Jose learned from last year’s misunderstanding with daughter Andi Eigenmann.
“(I learned) na huwag na akong mangialam. Hindi naman sa nangingialam ako. Nasasaktan lang ako para sa apo ko, nasaktan lang ako na parang kung ayaw nila, eh ‘di huwag, Ang ganda-ganda ng apo ko. Iyon lang naman ang pinagtanggol ko noon. Other than that, may karapatan sila to say whatever they want,” Jaclyn said at the press conference of “Kahit Puso’y Masugatan” on Tuesday, January 22.

But Jaclyn vowed to always be there to protect Andi and her daughter Adrianna Gabrielle or Ellie.
Jaclyn and Andi’s misunderstanding started when the former said the parents of her daughter’s ex-boyfriend, Jake Ejercito, disapproved of the relationship. Jake’s father, former president Joseph Estrada, denied the accusation.
“I will stand for what I’ve said before pero ayaw ko nang pahabain,” Jaclyn added.

How true are reports that Andi and Jake have reconciled?
“Si Andi na lang ang tanungin ninyo. Kasi nagpromise na ako eh. Sumasama ang loob sa akin,” Jaclyn replied.
Jaclyn reminds Andi’s future suitors that they must also “love and be proud” of Ellie.
“Kung sino man ma-iinvolve kay Andi ay against kay Ellie, kawawa naman. I said I’m gonna fight for Ellie kasi she’s my apo.”

Jaclyn shared that misunderstandings between mothers and daughters are normal.
The veteran actress and Andi have since patched up their differences.
“Mula nang ipanganak siya, ako na ang nag-alaga sa kanya. So kahit hindi pa siya artista, kapag nasa bahay kami, mag-ina ang turingan namin. May away at lambingan lang iyan, ang sangkap ng mag-ina. I’m sure si Andi naman, hindi magagalit sa akin nang tagos. Anak ko iyan eh,” Jaclyn said.
“Kahit Puso’y Masugatan” director Wenn Deramas shared that Jaclyn and Andi’s previous rift did not affect their working relationship.
“Yung makasama mo yung anak mo sa eksena, iba iyon. Tapos isipin ko lang iyong pinagdaanan ni Veronica (Andi), naiiyak talaga ako,”Jaclyn said.
“Kahit Puso’s Masugatan,” which is down to its last two weeks, also stars Gabby Concepcion, Iza Calzado, Jake Cuenca, Cris Villanueva, DJ Durano, Jenny Miller, Keith Thompson and Pamu Pamorada.
