Jaclyn Jose said she is happy with the birth of grandchild Adrianna Gabriellie, the two-month-old daughter of Andi Eigenmann.
“Good, (she’s) very good. Amerikanang-Amerikana talaga (ang itsura). Parang si Andi rin nung maliit sya,” she said of her apo at the grand launch of TV5’s upcoming primetime show “Valiente” held recently.
Andi gave birth to Adrianna last November 23, 2011.
The veteran actress said she wants her grandchild to call her “naynay” instead of lola, upon the suggestion of “Valiente” director Joel Lamangan.
“Biology na lang yung lola. Pero gusto ko, naynay,” Jaclyn quipped. She added that Andi is also doing well.
“Bilib ako kay Andi,” Jaclyn said. “She’s been strong ever since. Natutong maging strong yan dahil she’s been independent nung nagtatrabaho ako.”
Jaclyn revealed Andi is slated to do another television project on ABS-CBN this coming March.
“Pilit ko ngang sinasabi kay Andi na, “you still have a future, kahit andiyan si Gabriellie you do not stop.’ Pakiramdam niya it stops from there e. Pero sabi ko, hindi, gawin mo pa rin ang mga pangarap mo kahit andiyan si Gabriellie,” she said.
‘Mas mahihirapan sila sa akin’
The “Valiente” star revealed that they have not heard anything from Albie Casino, the alleged father of Andi’s child, and his family even after Adrianna Gabriellie was born.
“Walang move. Nothing. Sa TV meron,” Jaclyn quipped.
She added that they still have no plans of doing a DNA test on Adrianna to prove her parentage.
“Sapat na yung salitang ‘we need a DNA (test).’ Okay na yun. Para namang sampal sa pagkatao ng bata ‘yun. Kung ‘wag, huwag na lang,” she said. “Hindi naman namin sila kailangan. Natapos nga kami ng wala sila e. Kung ayaw, ayaw.”
But would she be open if Albie and his family try to reach out to them for the sake of her granddaughter?
“Siguro sa akin mahihirapan sila. Mas kay Andi pa. Tutal, hindi naman ako ang ina ng bata. Kay Andi na lang sila lumapit,” she said.
Jaclyn will support Andi if ever she decides to forgive Albie. “Kasi kanya namang anak yun, e,” she explained.
However, she added: “I think ayaw na ni Andi… Hindi siya bitter, e. Mas ako pa yung bitter. Kasi syempre, anak ko yan. Inalagaan ko ng mabuti yan.”
“Valiente” will premiere this February 13 on TV5.
