Is it already goodbye for ‘Showtime?’

Will ABS-CBN’s talent search program “Showtime” also go off air?

“Showtime,” which first premiered two years ago, declared Saturday’s episode, January 28, as its “Thanksgiving day” for their viewers and supporters.

“It’s been two years and three months, four seasons and a total of 737 days na pinagsamahan natin, sa lahat ng nakasama naming sa aming journey, we say thank you and this show is for you,” Anne Curtis said at the beginning of Saturday’s episode.

“Showtime” hosts, composed of Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Vice Ganda, Billy Crawford, Karylle, Kim Atienza, Jugs Jugueta and Teddy Corpuz, were emotional in thanking the viewers and the staff for their support.

“Lord God, wherever You may lead us, with Your grace, the ‘Showtime’ family remains,” Anne said in her prayer before they went off stage.

Each of the hosts gave their tribute and special performance. “Yung gagawin nating finale number ay personal sa ating lahat,” Vhong said before he danced to “Trackin,” which he dedicated to Billy.

Meanwhile, the new teleserye “Mundo Man ay Magunaw” will air starting Monday, January 30, at 11:30 AM. Its original time slot was for the afternoon Kapamilya Gold, but it was moved to 11:30 AM.

ABS-CBN’s press release says, “This Monday (January 30) at 11:30 am, ABS-CBN presents its first-ever locally produced drama on a noontime slot, “Mundo Man ay Magunaw,” a compelling family drama featuring a formidable ensemble cast of young and seasoned actors that include Empress Schuck, Nikki Gil, Ejay Falcon, Sylvia Sanchez, Allan Paule, Pinky Amador, Jason Gainza, Dianne Medina, Alex Castro Tessie Tomas, and Eula Valdes.”

Also starting  Jan. 30, Kapamilya Blockbuster will air before “Mundo Man ay Magunaw.” Both shows will take over the original time slot of “Showtime.”

As of posting time, ABS-CBN has not yet released an official statement regarding “Showtime.”

“Sa lahat ng nanunuod ngayon, lahat kayo ay bahagi ng aming pamilya. Kaya mahal na mahal namin kayo. One more great thing that we want to thank ‘Showtime’ for is this family that we have grown to love,” Anne said.
