Carla Abellana open to play lesbian role
Kapuso actress may be feminine, inside and out. But she is open to playing a lesbian role, even if she admits needing to prepare for it.

"Kailangan ko paghandaan 'yan especially sa kilos. I'm open to do that," this, she told reporters at a press conference of her new GMA TV series “My Husband’s Lover,” which features a gay character (portrayed by Dennis Trillo) in a major role.
"Maganda 'yung ganun, when someone plays a role na hindi bagay sa hitsura niya," the 26-year old Kapuso actress told Yahoo! Philippines OMG!
Carla plays Lally, the wife, whose husband has a gay lover.
A lot of pain
"Mahirap ang role ko in the sense that a lot of pain is in the character. I need to deal with acceptance and forgiveness as required by the plot."
The former "Rosalinda" star feels the primetime audience is ready for the quite sensitive subject her series is tackling. The fact that "My Husband’s Lover" is a drama makes it more challenging for her.
Carla’s last TV series before "My Husband’s Lover" was last year's "Makapiling Kang Muli," opposite Richard Gutierrez.
"My Husband's Lover", will debut in June, replacing "Love and Lies".
