How ‘Sosy Problems’ stars think their movie will fare

Most stars included in the Metro Manila Film Festival believe that their movies will be number one in the box office race but the "Sosy Problems" girls have a different forecast.

“Definitely, we won’t be last, (but) definitely we won’t be number one,” Bianca King revealed in a pocket interview held recently.

Don't get these ladies wrong. Rhian Ramos, Solenn Heusaff, Bianca King and Heart Evangelista are very proud of their movie.

“I’m happy with how it turned out kasi ang dami na masyadong lumalabas na puro paiyak. Pasko naman. Pwede naman tayong matawa na lang and have fun with people of all ages. It’s really meant to make people happy and not cry,” Rhian said.

Solenn added, “I think it’s gonna do good. It’s very light. Everybody’s gonna laugh.”

And while people see the festival as a competition of films in awards and box-office sales, the “Sosy” stars just want to give the movie goers a feel good film.

“The thing is, I don’t see film fest as a competition. I agreed to make this movie because I wanted people to have the option to not cry. It was more of an option for people to maybe we can go see something light for a change. Nakita ko yung recent trend sa movies, it’s always heavy,” Rhian said.

They're not expecting to get awards either.

“I’m very truthful to myself. I know the purpose of my career and it’s to entertain, that’s all that matters,” Rhian said.

And aiming to entertain comes with a hefty price tag.

“We are raising the bar visually for sure. That’s probably where most of the money went. Let’s just say that the amount of money spent here is the amount of money that you would put in a movie with special effects. It’s more of making it look good, making people’s jaws drop, that’s the reaction we’re looking for,” Rhian said.
