Heidi Klum: Runway quitters were childish

Heidi Klum says the two designers who walked out of the latest Project Runway series were “childish”.

The model is one of the judges on the fashion TV show, which aims to find the next big designer.

It was previously reported that two of this season’s contestants walked off the show, choosing to do so in the night and without telling anyone. Although they are both fine now, Heidi wasn’t impressed with the way they handled things.

“We wanted to make sure that these people are alive so we did go to the places where they live just to make sure that nothing has happened to them and they are fine. But we left it at that,” she explained. “If people don't want to be here, we obviously don't want them to be here either. We just thought it was very strange for grown-ups to do that. You would expect that from a child. It's a very childish move to do that.”

Heidi is joined on the judging panel by designer Michael Kors and magazine guru Nina Garcia. They get along very well and Heidi enjoys a solid friendship with Michael.

He is renowned for always wearing the same outfit on the programme, comprising of jeans, a T-shirt and shades. Heidi has tried to get him to branch out, but to no avail.

“I tell him, ‘Just please take your sunglasses off.’ When we do the finale, and we're at the tents, he's always posing with his sunglasses on. I'm like, ‘Come on, Michael. Take the sunglasses off.’ I can actually tell when he has a new pair of jeans,” she told huffingtonpost.com.

“I'm like, ‘They're a little slimmer and they have not been washed yet.’ And he's like, ‘You are freaking me out.’ I just know because I know his entire wardrobe already. I know every time when he has something new.”
