Hayden Panettiere is confident that the cast of TV series Nashville have "hit the nail on the head" with their representation of the city.
The actress has received nothing but praise for her role in the US singing drama series since she signed up to it.
The 23-year-old actress and the rest of the cast have relocated to the show's title city in the US state of Tennessee in order to portray the area as honestly as possible.
"[The locals] love the show. They really do," Hayden told ET Online. "What's so flattering is that I've heard a lot of people from Nashville... or from the South [say], 'Thank you for representing us well as we truly are,' because I know that they depict the South in a very distinct way... I feel like we finally hit the nail on the head with it."
Hayden stars as Juliette Barnes and had to overcome her fear of singing in front of an audience to fulfil the role. The star explained that nothing is faked on Nashville, unlike many other popular US series that depict cities rather than filming in them.
"I love Nashville; I really do," Hayden gushed. "It's so great to do a show like this where it's really, truly based on an iconic place like Nashville. There's a lot of places in this industry that we've faked for movies, for TV shows. We've faked New York City, and we've faked Hollywood and all of the above, but Nashville - it's not something you can fake."
