In episode 22 of MBC TV Mon-Tue drama ‘Jung Yi, Goddess of Fire’ shown on September 10th, Gwanghae (Lee Sang Yoon) was seen searching frantically with all his might for Jung Yi (Moon Geun Young) after learning of her disappearance.
Jung Yi falls for a trap set up by Lee Kang Chun (Jeon Kwang Leol) in yesterday’s episode. To find white clay for pottery, Jung Yi sets out with other male ceramists to look for it. It was just as well that Tae Do (Kim Bum) and Gwanghae weren’t by her side this time. Not long after, Gwanghae gets word that Jung Yi had disappeared, and he begins to search frantically for her.
After much difficulty, Gwanghae finally chances upon Jung Yi who had been trying hard to look for white clay. He stays by Jung Yi’s side the whole night, and reveals his true feelings for her. Gwanghae tells Jung Yi that he can ditch his throne for her, and spend an ordinary life with her for the rest of their lives. After hearing Gwanghae’s confession, Jung Yi couldn’t help but be moved to tears. But because she knows Gwanghae is next in line to ascend to the throne, and her dream was to become a ceramist, Jung Yi has to keep herself from accepting Gwanghae’s true feelings.
Gwanghae had only been looking after Jung Yi all this while, without revealing to her that he has feelings for her. But Gwanghae finally took the opportunity to reveal his true feelings to Jung Yi, which he had been keeping under lock since he was little.
Gwanghae’s confession however only heralded the beginning of a triangle between him, Jung Yi, and Tae Do. Who exactly will Jung Yi choose among the 2? That will be the question that viewers are most curious about.
