Ely completed “Bang Bang Alley,” his first full-length movie made up of three segments directed by three different directors, namely Ely, Pupil guitarist Yani Ruzon and music video director King Palisoc.
The movie, which tackles the culture of violence, stars Megan Young, Bela Padilla, Joel Torre, Art Acuña and Ely himself.
It’s due for release later this year.
The Oktaves and an Eraserheads interlude
Ely also recorded an album with his other band, The Oktaves, which includes members of Hilera and former Jerks guitarist Nitoy Adriano.
He appeared in a commercial for Smart Communications together with other pop stalwarts like former compatriot and now Sandwich/Pedicab frontman Raimund Marasigan, Rico Blanco and Barbie Almabis.
