Girls Generation sat down for an interview on January 8th, where they clarified recent rumors of Sooyoung dating actor Won Bin.
Late last year on December 28th, a Korean paparazzi report stated that Sooyoung was currently dating Won Bin. This shocking news was then spread swiftly all over the internet by netizens, and it became the headlines on various major portal sites in Korea subsequently.
In the aftermath, Won Bin and Sooyoung's names became hotly searched terms in Korea and would be linked to one another when one searches for their names. Sooyoung and Won Bin's management agencies however brushed off the rumors as being false, and reiterated that they weren't dating.
With regards to the rumors, Sooyoung treaded carefully and said, "I never did anything at all... all the rumors being spreaded on the internet have brought me much hurt."
Fellow Girls Generation member Tiffany said, "As it was a rumor with big star Won Bin, I was really envious of her at the beginning. But Sooyoung's name kept coming up on websites and didn't go away, and it was a rumor with someone that she had never seen before, so you can imagine how big of an impact it had on her."
Tiffany explained about this rumor which had no substance in it, "Sooyoung practically spends every day with her mother or with our group members."
Meanwhile, Girls Generation recently made their comeback with their 4th studio album 'I Got A Boy' and recently came in for praise from famous American websites like Billboard, MTV, and Popdust.
