Festive beauty for men

Step away from the Santa socks and keep that reindeer tie at arms' length.

If you’re looking for a beauty-conscious way to treat the man in your life, why not take inspiration from the beauty blogger in the know.

We caught up with male grooming aficionado Andy Millward from Pampered Prince to grab his tips for brilliant stocking beauty buys:

“Traditionally I always used to buy my dad tools,” says Andy. “But no Christmas would be complete without some grooming treats and a covetable fragrance.”

So, what beauty goodies will be tempting him this year?

“The ultimate modern man's tool kit would have to include a Clarisonic facial scrubber, which is a great tool for improving the look and feel of your skin, through super effective cleansing.

“It comes in either the Classic or Mia, both of which are masculine grey in colour,” says Andy.

If your significant other is more of a traditionalist, you might want to treat him to a shiny new shaver set.

“For the modern day, luxury wet shave, a wet and dry electric shaver, such as the Philips SensoTouch 3D Wet & Dry electric shaver is brilliant.

“Or for the man with facial hair, the Wahl Deluxe Grooming Station has multiple styling attachments,” says Andy.

With so many skincare ranges aimed at men, it can be difficult to decide which products will suit the man you’re buying for.

Andy suggests covering all bases with the Liz Earle Men's Complete Skin & Hair Collection.

“This is a great selection for keeping skin and hair looking its best through the cold winter months. It contains the men's cleanser and polish, shaving cream, moisturiser and more," he said.

Andy is adamant that no Christmas is complete without fragrance.

“A favourite of mine has to be the Prada Amber Homme, which is available as a gift set and includes an aftershave balm,” he adds.
