The indies or independent films are taking over, not just in local cinema. They are also dominating Entertainment Press (Enpress) Inc.’s ninth Golden Screen Awards, set Saturday, March 24, 8 p.m. at Teatrino, Greenhills.

Enpress president Jun Nardo says, “This year’s awards rites are different because the nominated outstanding films and performances are from indie films that earned praise and recognition from last year’s Cinemalaya entries. Mabibilang ang mainstream films na nagkaroon ng nominations.”
