Director Anthony Taylor dies of heart attack
First, it was Tony Espejo. Then came Mario O’Hara. This time, another director, Anthony Taylor, passed away at 2pm on Wednesday, July 4 at the Ospital ng Muntinlupa. He was 71.
According to the Facebook post of talent manager Manny Valera, Taylor had a heart attack at Claire dela Fuentes’ home in Ayala Alabang. He was rushed to the Ospital ng Muntinlupa where he was pronounced Dead on Arrival (DOA).
De la Fuente said she has been urging Taylor, who stayed with her for the past two years, to take medication for his heart problem. The doctor also advised him to undergo an operation.
Taylor directed “Dyesebel”, with Alma Moreno in the title role. He was also an actor, screenplay writer and production manager.
Taylor's remains were brought to Sta. Maria, Bulacan, where his family lives.
