after being dropped by his record label last february, he announced just last december he was gonna serve the church by going on mormon mission for two years...kinda makes u wonder if that mormon mission's just a front to do primetime series in the philippines to save his career...
      • Shin-chan, Laine, Hikki-c ... 4 months ago
I doubt, the "two year" mission is mandatory for all members of his church, and as far as I know there was no specific date of when he would actually start, so I could probably be that he just squeezed this stint in. :)
      • dakilangduca 4 months ago
Its not "mandatory" mission. Mormons view it as a commandment for all abled young men of the Church. he can still choose not do it.

Stupid guy, this David Archuleta! Using the name of God in vain!
This Archuleta is a liar, a true blooded liar!

Before you accuse anyone, know the facts first. David will be continuing his mission AFTER the acting stint. There was no specific date as to when he would start it, though.

Ah. He was not allowed by the President of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints to serve his mission. I am a mormon and he's an inspiration for us to serve on a mission. He was not allowed for some reasons, perhaps his popularity might be the cause of the conversion of many people and not because they accept the gospel fully. I'm just not that sure . He has a strong conviction to serve and preach the gospel .

huh?? that was very absurd!! on an Billboard interview just a week back, he stated that he's putting music on hold for two years while he embarks on a Mormon mission. with overwhelmed emotion and fighting back tears.. tapos dito nia pala sa pilipinas ipopursue ung career nia?!

Every time there's a good news, you always see negative comments. Why don't you just appreciate and see how things go on. No wonder why Philippines is still a struggling to develop. A character that keeps on pulling each other down just not to go up.
