    David Archuleta: Acting is fun

David Archuleta said he hopes to pursue acting further after his experience filming the TV5 mini-series “Nandito Ako.”

“If you’ve asked me beforehand (about my acting path), I would have been like, ‘I have no idea.’ But I’m just looking forward to doing more of this. This has been one of best experiences that I’ve ever had. It’s been so fun,” he said at the press conference for “Nandito Dito” last Saturday, February 4.

David said he knows he’s “not the greatest actor” as this is his first acting gig outside guest appearances on teen shows “Hannah Montana” and “iCarly.” However, the “Crush” and “Something ‘Bout Love” singer said he can’t wait to “keep growing and improving” in the craft.

“I have to say, coming into it, I was nervous thinking I’m not really much of an actor. It’s a drama and I don’t know how that will come about. But looking back and going to it each day, it’s like each day would confer to me that it’s worth it. This was so worth it, the experience,” the 21-year-old singer-songwriter said.

He added, “Acting is very much an art and I appreciate even more the actors and actresses, what they have to accomplish in order to bring out a scene for people to feel and understand.”

    Embracing challenges

The “American Idol” season seven runner-up admitted having to deliver Filipino lines in “Nandito Ako” was a bit difficult.

“But it was a good challenge for me,” he said. “It really made it a more challenging experience but it was a good kind of experience for me.”

How was it working with his two leading ladies, Eula Caballero and Jasmine Curtis-Smith?

“They were great people to star alongside with,” David said.

“They’re both really great actresses, really great girls, and we were able to become really good friends just like with the rest of the cast. I’m sad to be finished with filming my scenes because I just want to keep working with all of these people,” he further said. “It makes me want to keep doing it. I don’t want to stop.”

Would he consider doing another project for TV5 in the future?

“I would definitely… I would love to come back sometime and be able to work with them again. It was worth it this time,” David said.

He added, “I plan to come back (to the Philippines). I cannot not come back.”

    Hard decision

“Nandito Ako” is one of David’s last projects before he embarks on a two-year missionary work for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

But before his two-year hiatus from the entertainment scene, David is planning to record new songs for his fans.

Isn’t he afraid he’ll have a hard time gaining fans again after he returns from his missionary work?

“It's always a scary thing because you never know what's gonna happen,” David explained. “It has been a hard decision to make. It was a decision that took a couple of years to make and I finally made it happen. But even if it’s scary, I know it’s gonna be worth it because I've learned to trust that feeling in my life.”

“Nandito Ako” will premiere on Monday, Feb. 20, Monday, after “Wiltime Bigtime” on TV5.

I am not an adventist practicioner, but I think deciding to do missionary work over your career speaks a lot about your character as a person.

The worst thing that can happen is you lose your celebrity status and become an ordinary joe. Good Luck and God Bless. And Im sure things will work out when you get back.

      2. Nagkapalit ng anak
      3. Magkasintahan nagkahiwalay, sa huli magkakatuluyan din
      4. Love triangle
      5. Inaaping bata
      6. Mga kontrabidang sagad sa buto ang kasamaan
      7. Fantaserye
      8. Yung bida bugbog sarado sa una pero babawi rin sa huli

The article didn't say but David is the leading man! David also sings the theme song Nandito Ako, accompanied on keyboard by Jay Durias of South Border. David also sang it at the post-filming press conference and on Talentadong Pinoy. You need to find the trailer online and check it out. There is a lot of crying, fighting and romance. It looks really exciting!

      let me guess the telesersye.

      1. Galit
      2. Pag hi hi ganti
      3. Patayan
      4. repeat step 1-4
