Daniel Padilla admits he’s no singer,  but that doesn’t mean he shies away from recording an album or even from holding a concert. In fact, he got a double platinum award for his debut album, “Hinahanap-hanap Kita.”

The teen heartthrob is proud of his unique singing voice, even if he got negative comments for his version of the song “Nasa ‘Yo Na Ang Lahat.”

Kaya okay lang,” Daniel said during the press conference for his birthday concert at the ABS-CBN compound on Thursday, April 11.

Daniel is aware many people, even fellow celebrities, mock his singing voice.

Pabayaan natin iyon,” he said.

He admits he feels more confident as an actor even after receiving his platinum award. The star also belongs to a band called Parking 5.

Comparisons with Bieber

And while he is grateful for being compared to international young star Justin Bieber, Daniel thinks their kind of  music is totally different.

The teen heartthrob will hold his “Daniel Live: A Birthday Concert” at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on April 30. Tickets are reportedly almost sold-out.

Daniel thanked his supporters for trusting him.
