A poster on volume conversions for precision cooks that includes the number of dashes and drops which go into a teaspoon is the most popular food post on Tumblr this week.
As of February 3, the visual aid guide generated the most activity from Tumblr bloggers for elucidating that one teaspoon equals either 60 dashes, 16 drops or 18 pinches.
Not all conversions are the same, it seems, as the poster also provides precise measurements for dry ingredients. For example, one pound of peanuts comes out to three cups (710 ml) but one pound of pistachios or hazelnuts converts to 3 1/3 cups (790 ml).
Meanwhile, a flock of chocolate owl cake pops huddled on a platter was also popular among bloggers this week, as was a photo of chilled raspberry shooters made with fresh raspberries, cranberry juice, and vanilla yogurt.
A recipe from Bon Appétit magazine for fried chicken for the Super Bowl weekend in the US that calls for buttermilk and a cast iron skillet, as well as a recipe for pink Valentine's Day cupcakes with a cream cheese frosting rounded out the top five most popular food posts this week.
