Choi Jin Hyuk to Host a Live Program for the First Time
For the first time in his career, Choi Jin Hyuk will try his hand at hosting.
On October 16, Choi Jin Hyuk’s agency stated that he will stand as a special MC for MBC’s From Dae Jang Geum to I’m a Singer! to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the famous historical drama, Dae Jang Geum.
After being recognized for his strong acting abilities in MBC’s Gu Family Book, Choi Jin Hyuk rose to become a hallyu star in Japan, China, and more, which led him to be selected as the special MC of this upcoming show.
The special program was created to celebrate the growth from Dae Jang Geum, which led the hallyu wave by being distributed to 90 different countries around the world to recent dramas, like Gu Family Book.
The program will introduce diverse content of hallyu of the past ten years in dramas, variety, and K-pop. The show will feature special performances by popular artists for 150 minutes that will be broadcasted live.
“I’m very worried about standing as an MC for a live program, but I will do my best as this is a meaningful event looking back at all the achievements of hallyu,” said Choi Jin Hyuk.
From Dae Jang Geum to I’m a Singer will air on October 18 at 5:30 PM (KST).
Meanwhile, Choi Jin Hyuk is currently acting as Kim Won in SBS’ The Heirs.
