Actor Cha Seung Won has made a public apology on behalf of his son, Cha No Ah, after the latter was recently charged for sexually assaulting a minor.
The Seoul Central Police Agency stated on August 2nd, that Cha Seung Won’s son, Cha No Ah, was alleged to have locked up a 19 year old high school student ‘A’, inside a vacation house owned by his grandfather, and had also sexually assaulted her multiple times.
A day after, Cha Seung Won wrote on his me2day, “I’m Cha Seung Won. First, I would like to apologize to everyone for being a father who has failed to raise his children properly.” He continued, “Regardless of the facts of the matter, I bear a huge responsibility as the father of a son who had been mired in this. I can’t hide my sadness and hurt that I have right now, but I would like to express my deepest apologies to everyone once again.”
Meanwhile, ‘A’ was reported to have suffered psychological trauma after her ordeal, and is now receiving treatment from a psychiatrist. Prosecutors are expected to begin investigations on the case from this week onwards.
