Carmina now a Kapamilya

Carmina Villaroel is back to what she calls is her “homeland:” ABS-CBN.

The actress-host finally ended speculations that she is leaving GMA-7, her home for eight years by signing a contract with ABS-CBN, where she is slated to do a teleserye and a talk show.

Carmina’s manager, Dolor Guevarra explained the reason for her talent’s transfer: “Hindi pera ang pinag-uusapan. Gusto ni Carmina bumalik sa pagiging artista, sa heavy drama. At lahat ng hiningi niya sa ABS, binigay sa kanya.”

Guevarra did not disclose Carmina’s talent fee in the new contract.

She adds that her ward is happy to return to the network where she started at seven years old and played Richard Gomez's younger sister, Cathy, a street-smart tomboyish kid from the province in the sitcom “Palibhasa Lalake.”

Carmina then did the teleserye “Recuerdo” and “Okatokat”  and the talk show “Morning Girls”  with Kris Aquino, Zsa Zsa Padilla and Pops Fernandez.

When she transferred to GMA-7, Carmina hosted “Sis” with Janice and Gelli de Belen.

The talent manager adds that Carmina is also looking forward to returning to the movies via ABS-CBN, care of one of its executives, Deo Edrinal.
