Camille enjoys doing mommy roles
Now that she’s a mother in real life, Camille Prats doesn’t mind playing mommy roles. The 26-year-old actress first played a mother role in her comeback project, “Gaano Kadalas ang Minsan.” Other TV dramas followed.
Camille plays another mother role in GMA 7’s upcoming drama “Luna Blanca,” were she portrays Rowena, mother of Jillian Ward and Mona Louise Rey.
“Tanggap ko kasi it’s something that hindi ko rin ini-expect na magugustuhan ko. Magugustuhan ko in a way na nararamdaman ko kasi siya bilang isa akong nanay,” Camille said at the press conference of “Luna Blanca” at the GMA 7 compound on Tuesday, May 15.
People have seen Camille grow up since she started as a child actress. So she is happy that people still accept her as a young mom.
She feels blessed that people accept her in mother roles.
“Masaya ako na tinanggap ako ng mga tao bilang isang batang nanay. I like it, I really enjoy it. I feel blessed to be given this kind of projects kasi sa tingin ko sa edad ko na ito, ako lang yata ang gumagawa ng ganitong role. It’s a wonderful blessing,” she said.
Seeing herself in Jillian and Mona
Camille adds that she sees herself in her co-stars, child actresses Jillian and Mona. Camille herself first joined showbiz at age seven via the kiddie gag show “Ang TV”.
“Si Jillian kasi is very bibo and witty. Si Mona naman is very shy and girly. When I was growing up as a kid, medyo boyish ako, pero shy. So, I was like a mixture of both of them,” Camille said.
Camille is also teamed up with Raymart Santiago in “Luna Blanca.” Speaking of Raymart, Camille said he is “doing well” despite his current issue with journalist Mon Tulfo.
“Si Kuya naman magandang katrabaho. Masaya naman sa set. He’s doing well despite what he’s going through in life right now,” Camille said.
