It has been confirmed that Big Bang’s ‘ALIVE GALAXY WORLD TOUR’ will be screened in cinemas in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan this coming August.
From March of last year until January 2013, Big Bang performed 48 concerts in 24 cities spread across 12 countries for their 1st-ever ‘ALIVE GALAXY WORLD TOUR’ in front of 800,000 fans, which culminated in a finale concert back in Seoul, South Korea.
The concert was put together by international concert organizer LIVE NATION, Laurieann Gibson who is famed for her work with Lady Gaga, was hired as the tour's director and choreographer, Jill Smith who has worked with many foreign pop stars was hired as the tour’s music director, while Possible Productions was hired to create the tour’s custom backdrops, and many others. Regardless of location, all of Big Bang’s concerts were sell-outs and created records along the way.
Big Bang’s world tour also left many impressive records that will forever be imprinted in the history of K-POP. The use of the Time Code system to create a near flawless concert, left many music fans and stars within and outside of South Korea to find lots of inspiration.
Fans will be able to feel the majestic atmosphere of the ‘ALIVE GALAXY WORLD TOUR’ all over again when it plays in cinemas next month in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan. The performances of their hit songs, their unique free and powerful stages, the stage design of their concerts, and the global interaction of Big Bang with their fans, will allow moviegoers to feel the magic of Big Bang through the big screen video before their very eyes.
Besides Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan, YG Entertainment is looking to bring the screening to other parts of the world as well.
