Bianca King looks forward to ‘bigger loves’ in 2013

Her breakup with actor Dennis Trillo aside, Kapuso star Bianca King’s 2012 has been a very fruitful one. In fact, she even calls it her “most fulfilling year” so far.

Some of the highlights of Bianca’s fruitful 2012: she finished her digital filmmaking degree at the De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, she headlined two GMA-7 shows, and she’s part of “Sosy Problems,” GMA Films entry to the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival.

So what would Bianca wish for in 2013?

“True love,” Bianca told Yahoo! Philippines OMG! during a pocket interview with the cast of “Sosy Problems.”

But the actress immediately said, “I’m kidding!”

Bigger goals, bigger loves

Turning serious, she elaborated:  “I’m grateful already for what I have this year. Hindi ko sinasabing, ‘Ay, hindi okay itong taon na ito, sana next year (okay) naman.’ Basta whatever blessings I received this year, I’m thankful for them and hoping for an even better year.”

However, this doesn’t mean Bianca will settle with what she already has right now.

“I don’t want to be so specific. I just wanna continue to have good work on TV and film, nice roles, sustain my finances, and travel the world, travel to more countries I haven’t been too,” she said.

2012 was such a milestone,  she just closed “one chapter of my life.”

“Now I’m about to open a new one with bigger goals and more exciting things, bigger loves and more exciting travels,” Bianca explained.

Far from real life

In “Sosy Problems,” Bianca  plays  socialite Danielle, a former politician’s daughter who struggles to keep up with her luxurious lifestyle  even if the family fortunes have been taken away   (in one scene, her character explains why she only gargles using an expensive brand of mineral water).

Her character’s problem is perhaps the most plausible among the movie’s plot points. But Bianca clarified: her character is nothing like her in real life.

The actress said she only attends parties or glossy social gatherings if her work or endorsement requires her to do so.

The film may be about the problems of the rich (albeit exaggerated), but it does not promote materialism. Nor does it romanticize the lives of the affluent.

“We do have all those things na kinagigiliwan ng mga kabataan, but the heart of the film is really about the people,” Bianca explained.

“Sosy Problems,” which also stars Rhian Ramos, Heart Evangelista, and Solenn Heussaff, opens in theaters nationwide on December 25.
