BB Gandanghari plans to legally change name

Rustom Padilla now wants to be "BB Gandanghari." Legally, that is.

“Dito sa Pilipinas (I hired a lawyer). Kasi sa America hinihintay ko lang na mag-change ako ng status ng citizenship, then I will change my name,” he said in an interview with TV Patrol on Monday January 7.

Does this mean BB already had his sex changed? Reports say the actor is going through psychological sessions as part of the medical process. But the actor is reportedly taking things one step at a time.

“So, (I just) take it easy. Darating sa punto na iyan, kung talagang doon ka papunta. But make sure na hindi ka preoccupied doon sa end result mo,” he said.

A colorful love life

BB’s love life seems to be in full bloom. Reports say he is seeing someone from New York.

“Lagi niyang sinasabi na I’m very unique. Ako naman, ‘Okay fine, thank you,’” BB shared.

He is also open to work with his former wife, Carmina Villarroel.

“Oo, depende sa role. Magaling na artista si Mina. Wala naman sigurong mangyayaring talbugan,” BB said.

But a gray area in his life remains. BB hopes that his brother Robin will soon accept him as how he is now. Robin has always said in interviews that he misses Rustom and refuses to believe BB’s claim that “Rustom is dead.”

“Natutuwa ako na namimiss niya si Rustom. Pero it’s also a rejection of BB. So, masakit sa akin. We haven’t spoken for months, I’m looking forward to the day na magkakaintindihan si BB and Robin,” BB said.
