Barcelona turns the spotlight on mHealth at the GSMA Mobile World Congress

Coming up, Barcelona turns the spotlight on mHealth at the GSMA Mobile World Congress, a four-day event dedicated to cutting-edge mobile technology.

The event will feature a mobile health conference to discuss the emergence of remote monitoring, wellness, and assisted living technologies, and their role in transforming the healthcare industry around the globe.

Attendees can attend seminars and workshops on various mHealth topics, meet experts from Catalonia, Germany and Greece and learn about mHealth solutions in those countries. Live demonstrations will illustrate how mHealth technologies are being integrated into various health systems.

Exhibitors on hand include iHealth Lab Inc., Ephone International, HealthAlert App, Itude Mobile, Raylight Soluciones Tecnologicas, and Laipac Technology.

Now in its 27th year, the conference runs February 27 through March 1. A full program of conferences, keynotes and panel discussions runs alongside an exhibition of the hottest new products and concept designs from 1,000 of the top companies and mobile operators in the field. More than 60,000 industry members from 220 countries are expected in 2012.

Coming up, the inaugural GSMA-mHealth Alliance Mobile Health Summit will be held May 29 through June 1 in Cape Town, South Africa. Designed for senior executives from the mHealth sector, the event will focus on hot topics and issues in the industry while providing an opportunity for networking and deal-making.
